This lightweight shielded cable is suitable wherever you want lightweight, flexible shielded wiring. It's paritcularly valuable for attaching to piezos, where the stiffness and weight of heavier cable would inhibit the vibration of the piezo. It's also useful anywhere else you might want lightweight, flexible shielded wiring, such as most pickup wiring other than the main exterior lead cable.
The cable consists of an insulated center conductor of stranded wire that serves as the "hot" conductor, surrounded by a braided overwrap of stranded wire which serves as the ground conductor and shield. The whole is surrounded by a white-colored outer insulation layer. Overall diameter .071" (just over 1/16").
This cable is very difficult to find elsewhere if you're not planning to buy huge quantities. For some reason, consumer electronics parts stores typically don't carry it.
